Corrections policy

How we handle and disclose errors.

Getting Life in the UK test facts right matters — the cost of a misleading answer is a failed test and a wasted £50 fee. If we get something wrong, we want to fix it quickly and in the open.

How to report a correction

Email corrections@passlifeinuk.co.uk with:

  • the URL of the page,
  • the sentence or fact you believe is wrong,
  • the source you are relying on (ideally a link to GOV.UK or the official handbook).

What happens next

We aim to acknowledge corrections within two working days and make a decision within five. If the correction is confirmed, we will:

  • update the affected content,
  • bump the Last updated date on that page,
  • for material corrections, add a short note at the bottom of the page describing what changed and when.

If we decline to make a change (for example because the handbook and GOV.UK disagree and we choose to follow GOV.UK), we will reply explaining why.

What counts as a material correction

A material correction is one that could change a reader's answer on the test or their decision about booking, paying, or bringing ID. Minor edits (typos, broken links, formatting) are fixed without a published note.
