About this service
PassLifeInUK provides online study tools to help you prepare for the Life in the UK test. By using our website at passlifeinuk.co.uk you agree to these terms.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use this service. By creating an account or making a purchase, you confirm that you are 18 or over.
Free and Premium plans
You may use the free plan without creating an account. The Premium plan is a one-time purchase that unlocks unlimited lessons, mock tests, analytics, and the pass guarantee. Payments are processed securely by Stripe.
Your right to cancel (cooling-off period)
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have a 14-day right to cancel your Premium purchase from the date of purchase — unless you have already accessed Premium content. By clicking “Unlock Premium” and beginning to use Premium features, you expressly consent to the immediate supply of digital content and acknowledge that you lose your right to cancel once access begins.
To request a cancellation within the 14-day period (before accessing Premium content), email hello@passlifeinuk.co.uk with your account email. Refunds will be processed within 14 days to your original payment method.
Pass guarantee and refund process
Premium users who meet all of the following conditions are eligible for a full refund:
- Completed at least 80% of available lessons on the platform.
- Taken at least 5 mock tests on the platform.
- Sat and failed the official Life in the UK test.
How to claim: Email hello@passlifeinuk.co.uk within 6 months of your Premium purchase date with:
- Your account email address.
- A copy or screenshot of your official test result showing a fail.
We will verify your platform activity and, if eligible, process a full refund to your original payment method within 14 days. The pass guarantee does not affect your statutory rights.
Content accuracy
Our content is based on the official Life in the United Kingdom: A Guide for New Residents handbook (Crown Copyright, used under the Open Government Licence v3.0). While we strive for accuracy, we are not affiliated with the Home Office or GOV.UK. We recommend using the official handbook alongside our platform. Blog content is for general information only and does not constitute immigration advice.
Acceptable use
- Use the platform for personal study purposes only.
- Do not copy, redistribute, or commercially exploit our content.
- Do not attempt to access other users' accounts or data.
- Do not use automated tools to scrape or bulk-download content.
Account and data
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. Guest study progress is stored locally on your device and may be lost if you clear your browser data. Signed-in users benefit from cloud-synced progress. See our privacy policy for details on how we handle your data.
Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for: (a) death or personal injury caused by our negligence; (b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or (c) any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by English law.
Subject to the above, PassLifeInUK is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that you will pass the Life in the UK test (except under the pass guarantee for eligible Premium users). Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Where changes are material, we will notify signed-in users by email before the changes take effect. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Governing law and dispute resolution
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you have a dispute, please contact us first at hello@passlifeinuk.co.uk and we will try to resolve it informally.
If we cannot resolve the matter, you may refer the dispute to an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) provider. The European Commission also provides an online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. Nothing in this clause affects your right to bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales.
